エチオピアの難民、アンバチウ選手のその後

アンバチョウは、1999年夏、わかちあいプロジェクトのカクマ難民キャンプ（ケニヤ、北西）のワークキャンプに参加していた日本の青年たちと出会ったことがきっかけで、エチオピア難民でありながら、福岡国際マラソンに参加するする道が開けました。（ＮＥＷＳ13号）2000年4月に再度、日本のマラソン大会に参加する予定であったが、ナイロビ郊外の高地で練習中に知り合ったオーストリアのマラソン選手の導きで、オーストリアに出国しました。、マラソンと演劇に取り組みながら、難民としてでなくオーストリアに定住する身分をえるように努力してきました。3年半の苦闘のすえやっと、定住が認められ、1,2年後にはオーストリアの市民権が得られる見通しになりました。

その後、マラソンを続けながら、演劇活動に参加して生活。
マラソンの成績はあまりかんばしくなかったが、今年にはいり4月、5月で2つの大会で優勝、ウイーン市マラソンで2位に入賞した。このこよがきっかけとなり、オーストリア大統領や内務大臣に会うことができ、難民としての審査が8月に行われることになった。
難民の状態から、オーストリアに定住できることを願っている。また、再会できる機会も近いかもしれない。

Hallo Mr. Matsuki,
This photos is me and the president of Austria,it was yesterday after the race and I had a talk with him.it was nice feeling.hahahahaha
the day after tomorrow I have a talk with interim Minster of Austria concerning about refugees and I was
given a chance to speak about one hour with him and with other officials.
I will tell you more after the meeting.

Dear Mr Matsuki,
Thank you for your e-mail and sorry for not informing you up to now about the meeting with the interior
minister of Austria.It was my mistake and I thought I already told you about it,any way let me tell you
about that day....
  It was in Austrian parliament and the program was started at 8:00pm,but first me and the interior
minister Mr. Earn Strasse have met before the stage at 7:00pm and had discussion for one hour with TV speaker
miss Barbara Dimelle.it was free discussion and was wonderful.The people were waiting for open discussion
at 8:00pm.after back stage we all went into the stage....the parliament was so full by spectators....then the discussion was started and a lot of question I had to answer and it was successful.I wasn't afraid to speak what the ill treatment I have
been experienced here in Austria,Kenya and my own country and I said I want to be free to do my part for the world.I am prisoner who isn't allowed to go out of Austria,to work and to be like any free human being but just waiting for unlimited time for the final dicision.I have said I don't need any help from government or from any body and what I want is to be free so that I will taking care of my self to reach into my destination.I have said I don't like the way I have been treated by AUSTRIAN GOVERNMENT and let my inhumanly treatment end and so on.......
 it was in TV and so million Austrian and Germany watched it.then after one week of this interview the man who is dealing my refugees case in court got avoid because of my real complain about my situation and got also pressure from many places I think,he said he will call me for interview on august and God knows what is going to happen that day.the good thing for meeting the minister for me was I told the real truth what is happening and the rest I don't care weather they will accept me or not.....

at the moment I hardly concentrating my training and also practicing 2 different theatre which I will play the main rule on the whole September and October,the one theatre I already training is called THE NIGHT SHELTOR by MAXIM GORKIY and the second one is kariography.this time around i have a lot of invitation for playing theatre because of my good rule
of playing in waiting for godot last year.I thanks GOD because in the hard situation he didn't let be to be down and loosing hope.

Next month on 14 of July I might run 350km from Vienna up to one of Austrian border,running for
refugees-one Austrian man will run from Vienna up to Greece(athence but me since I am not allowed to go out
of Austria I will run up to the border.we will run per day 70km,before that I will have one half marathon on
26 of this month.God knows.

how are every body there?do you hear about lakew and debesa?are they still doing their training?please my
regards to the whole wakachiai members.
